MATT DOBIE is a musician, writer, and reviewer residing in Charleston, SC. He moved to the lowcountry in 2009 after receiving a BA in Communications from Ohio University. Dobie performs as a solo singer-songwriter and as part of a variety of ensembles throughout the region. He is a contributing writer for Art Mag where his features and reviews primarily focus on local events and performances, bringing deserved attention to these cultural showcases and the people behind them.
CHAMBERS AUSTELLE is an artist and educator born and raised in Charleston, SC. She received her BA in Studio Arts from the College of Charleston. Austelle’s work has been exhibited nationally and featured in Expose Art Magazine, The Artist Catalogue, and on the cover of the April 2015 issue of Fresh Paint Magazine. Most recently, in March of 2016, Austelle was selected for a residency at Sanders Clyde Creative Arts School. In 2015, she served as a featured artist for Charleston Supported Art and was an Art Matters grant nominee. Austelle participated in Piccolo Spoleto’s 2014 Juried Exhibition at the City Gallery and was the recipient of the President’s Choice Award for Photography from the College of Charleston in 2011. She currently teaches and serves as an outreach coordinator at Redux Contemporary Art Center and is the founder and director of Young Artists, a program designed to further advance the development of visual arts at Sanders Clyde Creative Arts School.
REDUX CONTEMPORARY ART CENTER is a nonprofit organization committed to fostering creativity and the cultivation of contemporary art through diverse exhibitions, subsidized studio space for visual artists, meaningful education programs, and a multidisciplinary approach to the dialogue between artists and their audiences.
